The queen of all trees is the fig tree. The sicamor tree fruits twice a year and drop leaves whenever it pleases. It provides food for species. It feeds the widest variety of all of the trees in Africa. The buds swell to turn out to be figs. Inside the figs there are many flowers inside. Fig wasp burrow inside the fig and the pollen from their body pollinates the flowers inside the fig. The wasp lay their eggs into some of the seeds and the tree becomes a serigit mother for the eggs from the wasp. Wasp aren’t the only species who use the tree as a house. The gray horned bill nest in them to. The female gray horn seals herself inside a hollow hole within the tree with only sufficient space to become able to receive food.

Insects and herbavores are a hazardous to the tree. If they eat as well numerous of its leaves the tree will abort the figs. A protection device that the tree has is excreting a white milky solution. The solution is foul tasting so it’ll not be eaten. Some insects have evolved to overcome the substance. Horn beattles bite through the vein from the leaf to stop the flow of latex. When the flow is stopped horn beattle will feed. The catidid will cut off the leaf to quit the flow from the solution and can then consume the fallen leaf. Fermenting juice provide vinegar flies with and alcoholic beverage. When the flies are lethargic and cant always get away from the pink mantice who eats them. To shield the wasp within the tree the queen closes the figs. Parasite wasp will come and drill into the figs and deposit eggs. Then an additional parasite wasp comes behind them and use the hole that has currently been dug into the fig to deposit its eggs. The parasite wasp will develop and kill the wasps that are responsible for pollination. Ants are the main physique guard from the queen. They’ll kill any inset that gets on the tree and drive off any animal that climbs on the tree. The only insect the ants allow to remain will be the Hilda bug. Ants use them as a herd to graize, simply because when the hilda eats it excrites a sugar filled solution that the ants like to consume. The queen heals it wounds using the milky latex. Bees gather the latex to seal holes in its personal nest. The horn bill living in the tree had their timing off and the mother had to leave the chicks to go assist discover food. The chicks instinctively seal the hole back op with debri and droppings. The fig cecatur squirts out what they are able to not absorb. The sugar filled solution is all over the tree from the cecatur it attracks all froms of life. Monkey com and lick the answer off the tree. When the bees make it towards the tree it is hard for something to attempt enjoy the sugar answer. The male fig wasp hatch and cut via eggs of the females to let himself in to impregnate the females prior to they are even born. One hundred thousand figs wasp come out of the holes within the figs the males have made. The parasite wasps depend on the holes of that the fig wasps have produced to obtain out. The nematodes that are in the figs try to burrow the body from the wasp. The female wasps cut the pollen made by the males and carry them to other trees. Prior to the males die the final task of their short lived lives is to cut the fig open from the inside to release all of the female wasp. Bees have taken a liking to the hollow hole that horn bill reside in and force their way in the hollow and kill the horn bill chick. Whilst the fig wasp emerge from the fig the ants gorge on them. The geico eats the ants. The life cycle continues since the snake then eats the geico. When the fig wasp leave to find another tree they can get caught within the wind and travel as much as fifty miles. After the wasp have left the figs ripen and turn out to be soft, orange and prepared to consume. When the parasite wasp plans back fire they all die simply because they’re not in a position to get out of the fig. The tiger beattle eats the parasite wasp. Fish eat fallen fruit. Crocodiles eat the fish. Natives smoke out the bees to retrieve their honey and use fig wood to make fire.
